William Boyd on the Connell Guides Essay Prize

Last year we were thrilled to have master storyteller William Boyd judge our inaugural Connell Guides Essay Prize. He said the standard of entries was “uniformly high – thoughtful, intelligent, cogently argued. They should all be congratulated. Wit and intelligence were present in abundance in the piece I’ve chosen as the winner but also marked out the runners-up. Bravo to all.”

We recently caught up with William Boyd and he had some very nice things to say about our Essay Prize!
